Knotty Knotters

One of Trinity’s ministries is known as Knotty Knotters. The Knotters make and donate quilts to those in need. Since its inception, quilts have been provided to victims of natural disasters, homeless in nearby cities and towns, homebound persons, local shelters, nursing home residents and food pantry guests. It is estimated that more than 500 quilts have been handcrafted and donated since beginning this ministry 7 years ago. The quilt tops are pieced or sewn together. The quilt sandwich, which includes the pieced top, batting in the center, and a bed sheet for the backing, is held together by tying knots through all three layers. The quilts measure 60”x80”. The Knotters meet the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 2:00-4:00, in the church social hall. All are welcome to join the heartwarming ministry.
